Delaware Division of Public Health announcing more flu numbers: 6 deaths and over 1,200 new lab-confirmed flu cases for the week ending February 10th.  Public Health officials also announcing two additional flu related deaths that occurred earlier in the season in Kent County.

Flu-related deaths stand at 18 in the state; total flu cases this season this year are just shy of record-breaking numbers. Nationally, officials say this is the highest level of flu activity since the swine flu pandemic in 2009. If you’re sick officials say you should stay home from work or school, and if you have trouble breathing, bluish skin, fever with a rash, dizziness, or severe or persistent vomiting, get immediate medical help.
