For over a
decade, Dan Gaffney has been Delmarva's favorite morning man. He's
outspoken, fun and totally dedicated to the community.
Dan is a staunch believer in local radio and local radio's commitment to
serving the community. Dan has broken the cover of many important local
happenings and been a forerunner in improving the community he serves.
Whether it be his recent
uncovering of local teens on myspace.com or the outing of controversial
figures in the public schools, Dan tackles the issues that many are
afraid to approach. He shines a light on exactly what's going on in
his and your back yard.
However, he approaches the mic every morning with a good heart and smile
on his face, just as content to talk about the odd tent set up on the
side of the road or a local's new tattoo.
Dan has been voted favorite local celebrity numerous times by the
readers of the Delaware State News. He loves spicy food, "Nicoboli's"
and, most of all, his children and wife Becky.
One thing's for sure, love him or hate him, Dan matters to the community
and the community matters to him. Just one listen and you're bound to be
hooked. Maybe he'll see you at one of his breakfast club broadcasts or
any Thursday morning live on Rehoboth Ave. at Browse About Books.
Listen to Dan live on WGMD 92.7 or check out the audio page for
any segments you may have missed.
