Nominations are now being accepted for the Governor’s Youth Volunteer Service Awards. These awards will recognize Delaware students, 17 and younger, who make a positive impact on their community. The winners make volunteer efforts in the areas of arts and culture, community service, education, environment and much more. The volunteer efforts must have been done in 2016, but you can show past volunteerism to show long-term commitment. You can find nominations forms on www.VolunteerDelaware.org. They’re due by Friday, April 7 to the State Office of Volunteerism in Dover. Winners will be honored at a May ceremony at Polytech in Woodside.
