Greenwood Teen Injured in Seaford Area Crash

A crash Saturday just after 1pm sent one person to the hospital. Delaware State Police say an SUV was westbound on Hastings Farm Road near Old Furnace Road when his vehicle left the road and struck a phone box and sideswiped a tree. Police say the 17 year old Greenwood driver was not wearing a seat belt. Troopers smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle and EMS administered narcan as well. The driver was taken to Christiana Medical Center with serious injuries. He faces charges of DUI and traffic offenses.
