Hit & Run in Rehoboth Beach

Rehoboth Police are investigating a hit and run that occurred over the weekend.  A witness was awakened by a loud bang at about 2 a.m. Sunday, and when they looked out their window they saw a large black SUV, possibly a Tahoe, backing away from a 2014 Nissan Versa that had significant rear-end damage.

The witness watched the SUV take off westbound on Maryland Avenue.  The Nissan was pushed approximately 2 ½ parking spaces forward when it was struck.  The SUV would have sustained major damage to the front passenger side.

Anyone with information about the collision is asked to contact the Rehoboth Beach Police Department at (302) 227-2577.
