WGMD Opinion Line Question of the Day
Mammograms
A government task force says most women don't need mammograms in their 40's. The American Cancer Society disagrees--saying the mammograms may do more harm than good...because of too many false alarms and unnecessary invasive procedures. What do you think?
I think women should start getting mammograms at 50 years old--instead of 40 (and should stop getting them after 75).
I agree with the American Cancer Society that breast cancer exams be done starting at age 40.
