Anthony Joseph

The Anthony Joseph local sports show has been on the WGMD airwaves for over a year now and still going strong. I enjoy covering the local sports teams and I have met a lot of nice coaches and players.

This show allows the listeners to follow their high school teams during the school year, and informs them about the outstanding talent Delaware has to offer with the feature: Athletes of the Week. I could not do this feature without the help of the athletic directors submitting names every week. And I thank them for their help.

And if you think you have heard this voice before? Anthony began broadcasting high school football games in 2007 on WGMD 92.7 and is the Sports Director. And recently Anthony has interviewed some of the biggest names in sports. The list includes Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco, former Baltimore Oriole Brooks Robinson, Baltimore Colt Tom Matte, former NFL MVP Rich Gannon, Boston Red Sox Derek Gibson and NASCAR Drivers like Brian Vickers, Kenny Wallace, Rusty Wallace and Bobby Labonte.

Anthony's latest feature is the Spinning Wheels Racing Report. It airs Monday through Friday during Dan Gaffneys show and Bill Colleys. The focus is Dover International Speedway, Nascar, and Delmar International Speedway.
