Governor Markell has signed a law adding sexual orientation to Delaware’s anti-discrimination law in front of a cheering crowd of more than 150 at Camp Rehoboth. Markell says it took an effort on the part of lawmakers and citizens working together to bring the 11-year battle to expand the law to a successful conclusion.

The new law took effect upon Markell’s signature.
