Loaded Gun Found During Traffic Stop Near Smyrna

A traffic stop by Delaware State Police near Smyrna led to the arrest of a Dover man on weapons charges.  Police spotted two vehicles speeding on Route 1.  Both vehicles were stopped and a computer check on the driver of one vehicle, 23 year old Quajan Daniels of Dover showed three outstanding warrants. A search of his vehicle turned up a loaded handgun and additional ammunition.  Daniels is charged with weapons and traffic offenses.  The driver of the other vehicle was issued a traffic citation and released.
