Maryland Governor Larry Hogan has ordered the Maryland State Flag lowered to half-staff effective at sunrise, Saturday, January 27, 2018 and returned to full-staff at sunset, Saturday, January 27, 2018. This action is in honor of former Maryland Congresswoman Marjorie Holt, who passed away on January 7. Holt was the first Republican woman from Maryland elected to Congress – she was 97.
