MD Governor witholds funding from state AG

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan is not allocating any state funding to help Attorney General Brian Frosh sue President Donald Trump. According to the Baltimore Sun, the governor did not include funding for the $1 million and 5 lawyers the Maryland General Assembly promised the attorney general last year. Gov. Hogan instead suggesting the Attorney General use funds from the Consumer Protection Division to finance the litigation. Frosh said he would rather not choose between defending Marylanders against the Trump Administration and defending them against fraud schemes.
