MD Receives Federal Funds to Fight Opioid & Heroin Epidemic


Additional federal funding for Maryland in the ongoing heroin and opioid epidemic.  The funding of over $288,000 from the U-S Department of Justice COPS program was announced by Senators Ben Cardin and Chris Van Hollen.  Maryland State Police will use the funding to investigate unlawful activities related to the distribution of prescription opioids and heroin.
