MD To Get Technology Upgrade

Maryland will soon be getting groundbreaking technology to delivery vital services thanks to a huge boost in federal funding. Maryland Department of Human Resources was given over $195 million to aid MD THINK, a cloud-based data source that helps you find access to state programs, such as health and mental hygiene. Maryland had already committed $14 million to this program for 2017, but the additional money, Governor Hogan said, will, “Bring our service delivery into the 21st century.” MD THINK is in its first stage, trying to get information to the most vulnerable Marylanders, including children in foster care, disconnected youth and struggling families. Case workers will get tablets to help give on site information.
