Millsboro raises the roof… height limit for hotels


Millsboro is raising the roof limit to attract more hotels to town. At this month’s City Council Meeting the town approved increasing its building height limit from 35 feet to 60 feet in the highway commercial district for hotels. Sussex Post reporting that the height increase has been in the works since July, when Mayor John Thoroughgood proposed increasing the height limit to attract larger chain hotels in town. Town Manager Sheldon Hudson says the move is aimed to modernize town laws to make it more business friendly.
