Milton Police Introduce New Tracking Device

The Milton Police Department is creating a new program to find at-risk people who go missing by using GPS trackers. The program is currently named “Locate and Return” and is set up to find people who wander off that may be a danger to themselves. The Police Department currently has the money to provide four people that qualify with these trackers. If the need grows, the police may get grant money for more trackers. Each person would have a designated safe zone, and if the person went outside that zone, the parent of guardian would get a text to alert the police. The police would use the tracker to find the person via GPS.
