New Jersey ranked among worst states to retire in US


One mid-Atlantic state ranks among the worst places to retire in America. According to Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine analyzed all 50 states by cost of living, health care costs and tax ratings, and found that New Jersey is the second worst state to retire in America, barely ranking about New York. The report says the combined state and local tax burden in New Jersey is the second highest in the nation; on top of that retiree healthcare costs are the 3rd highest in America and the garden state sports the 4th highest cost of living.
