Ocean City Police recover stolen fire fighting infrastructure

Ocean City Police are searching for a person or persons who stole critical infrastructure from buildings in the resort. On Tuesday Police said they recovered 10 brass standpipe valves they believe were taken from locations in North Ocean City. The valves are used as a water hook up for fire personnel in the upper level of a tall building, however, if removed, the system is useless. Ocean City Police are urging citizens and condo associations to check their systems to see if there are any missing valves. If anyone finds their valves missing, or knows information about the crime, contact Ocean City Police.
