OCPD Arrest 7 in Credit Card Fraud

Ocean City Police have arrested seven suspects in a credit card fraud case.  Police say that during the summer of 2017, six victims reported their credit card numbers had been used to make fraudulent purchases at a variety of locations throughout Ocean City.  Police stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation driven by 19 year old Shawn Johnson of Princess Anne.  Two passengers were also in the vehicle.  Police detected the odor of marijuana and a search of the vehicle turned up a fraudulent debit card, laptop and two credit card reader/writers. The investigation led to seven suspects who were creating counterfeit credit cards using numbers likely purchased on the dark web.  The seven men are charged with several crimes related to credit card fraud, identity theft and credit card counterfeiting.

The suspects are identified as:

  • Justin A. McMillan, 20, of Snow Hill, MD
  • Remi Adeoye Adegbite, 22, of Magnolia, AR
  • Adebomi E. Adaralegbe, 21, of Landover, MD
  • Khiry R. Drummond, 27, of Cambridge, MD
  • Souleymane Diallo, 25, of Capital Heights, MD
  • Shawn A. Johnson, Jr., 19, of Princess Anne, MD
  • Honore T. Mbaye, 20, of Middle River, MD
