One Person Injured After Eden House Fire

The Office of the Maryland Fire Marshal is investigating after a house fire in Somerset County in the early morning hours of Wednesday.

The fire happened at a home in the 7000 block of Meadow Bridge Road in Eden, Somerset County. Officials say the fire broke out around 12:25 a.m. on June 12. The Fruitland Fire Department responded to the blaze which was discovered by the owner.

One resident was transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury for smoke inhalation and was released. Approximately 100,000 dollars in structure loss was reported, with 20,000 dollars in loss to it’s contents.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
