UPDATED: Pedestrian Struck on Rt 13 Early Monday Morning


UPDATED – 1pm – Delaware State Police have released the name of the pedestrian who was struck and killed early this morning in Felton.  Police say it was 50 year old John Miller of Felton.  The investigation is continuing.


UPDATED – 8:10am – A man walking in the right lane on Route 13 near Memorial Avenue in Felton is dead after he was struck by a car just before 1 this morning.  Delaware State Police say the man was dressed in dark clothes and not wearing any reflective clothing and not carrying a flashlight.  He was pronounced dead at the scene – he name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.  The investigation is continuing but police say there is no evidence of alcohol or drug involvement.  The female driver was not injured.


An accident early this morning shut down the southbound lanes of Route 13 in Felton.  Emergency crews were called just before 1am for a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the area of Memorial Avenue.  The roadway was reopened by 4am.
