In Lewes — police are searching for a man they say stole 5 pounds of shrimp in a brazen heist earlier this week. According to Delaware State police, the shellfish were boosted Wednesday night from a restaurant off John J Williams Highway. The theft was not discovered until the next day, when the manager thought something seemed fishy about their inventory.

The suspect almost pulled off the perfect crime: he walked into the freezer undetected, and after about 2 minutes, left with a haul of 5 pounds of frozen shrimp, however, he slipped up, and was caught on the restaurant’s security cameras. The man is described as a black male, wearing thick rimmed glasses and overalls. You can find a picture of the suspect on wgmd.com; anyone with information is asked to contact Delaware State Police.
