In order to help residents with current trash collection regulations, the Rehoboth Beach Commissioners are offering a new valet trash service program. Those who opt in will pay an additional $300 on top of the standard trash service fee. In return, residents will not take trash cans to the curb and back on the day of collection, instead trash collectors will now retrieve and replace the bins themselves from a location on the property predetermined by the city. The program will only be for household trash, so recycling and yard waste containers will not be picked up as part of the new service. The deadline to enroll for interested residents in May 31.
