The City of Rehoboth Beach approved two items of Old Business during Friday’s City Commissioners meeting.  After quite a lot of discussion and seeing the option to change the meeting time for the Friday regular meeting from 7pm to 3pm.  There was also discussion to move the meeting to Monday morning, but as it had not been advertised – that was not voted on.  The did approve moving the meeting to 3pm the third Friday of the month instead of 7pm.  The  Commissioners did comment that if the 3pm meeting didn’t work out – other options could be explored.

The Commissioners also voted to name a sidewalk from 2nd Street through the city parking lot to the Convention Center after the late Steve Elkins – the co-founder of CAMP Rehoboth.  The pathway was the one that Elkins took from CAMP to the Convention Center and City Hall when attending meetings or large-scale CAMP activities and events.  Commissioner Richard Byrne read the resolution to name the sidewalk, which was approved with a unanimous voice vote of the Commissioners.
