Retired Supreme Court Judge Given Order Of The First State

On Wednesday, Governor John Carney recognized retired Delaware Supreme Court Justice Randy Holland with the Order of the First State. The award is given for meritorious service to that state. Holland is the longest serving Justice in Delaware history. He became the youngest person to serve on the Supreme Court when he was appointed by Governor Michael Castle in 1986. He was later re-appointed twice to additional 12 year terms by Senator Carper and Jack Markell.
