UPDATED: Route 9 To Re-Open by 8pm – Pending Weather


UPDATED – 2PMUS 9/ Lewes Georgetown Highway and Coolspring Road OPEN Tonight

Harbeson:  The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces to motorists that US 9/Lewes Georgetown Highway between Fisher Road and Josephs Road AND Coolspring Road between Log Cabin Hill Road and Fisher Road are anticipated to be OPEN to traffic around 8 PM tonight, pending weather.


As heard on the Mike Bradley and the Morning Team show Thursday morning, DelDOT expects to open Route 9 Lewes Georgetown Highway by the rush hour this afternoon.

Good weather, planning and efficient crews resulted in the early completion of the project to remove train tracks from the roadway.
