The Salisbury Police Department says it is seeking the public’s help in identifying and apprehending two men suspected in an early morning shooting in the city.

Officers say around 2 a.m. on Sunday, May 5 they were called to the 200 block of East Main Street for a reported shooting. Officers arrived on the scene and disbursed the large crowd that had gathered. Their investigation revealed a 27-year-old female victim had sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound to her leg, and was transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center for treatment. A 28-year-old male victim was treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries to his head as a result of a fight at the same location.

The investigation uncovered that the victims were exiting Mojo’s Restaurant when a verbal altercation ensued. Officials say they analyzed surveillance video from the restaurant and nearby businesses.

The suspects remain at large. One suspect is described as an African-American male wearing a white shirt and light colored pants. The second suspect is an African-American male with medium to long length dreadlocks, a stocky build, facial hair wearing a black shirt and black pants. He was believed to be in possession of a handgun.
