Salisbury Police Seek At-Large Shooting Suspects
The Salisbury Police Department says it is seeking the public’s help in identifying and apprehending two men suspected in an early morning shooting in the city.
Officers say around 2 a.m. on Sunday, May 5 they were called to the 200 block of East Main Street for a reported shooting. Officers arrived on the scene and disbursed the large crowd that had gathered. Their investigation revealed a 27-year-old female victim had sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound to her leg, and was transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center for treatment. A 28-year-old male victim was treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries to his head as a result of a fight at the same location.
The investigation uncovered that the victims were exiting Mojo’s Restaurant when a verbal altercation ensued. Officials say they analyzed surveillance video from the restaurant and nearby businesses.
The suspects remain at large. One suspect is described as an African-American male wearing a white shirt and light colored pants. The second suspect is an African-American male with medium to long length dreadlocks, a stocky build, facial hair wearing a black shirt and black pants. He was believed to be in possession of a handgun.
