Salisbury To Offer PAID Youth Jobs For Summer

Salisbury Mayor Jake Day is teaming up with Junior Achievement to give high school students skills for post-graduation. The Summer Youth Employment Program gives 30 paid positions to teens in Salisbury for ten weeks in the summer. Teens will get counseling and resume help during the ten weeks on their way to establishing work experience and job skills. Of the 30 jobs, nine will be in Public Works, two with the Salisbury police and one with Housing and Community Development. You can apply until April 14 by going to the city’s website and clicking on the “I Want To Apply Tab”. The only requirement is that you’re between 16 and 1-years-old.
