Senator Carper Backing Alaskian Wildlife Refuge


U.S. Senator Tom Carper joined 39 other Senators in introducing a bill that would help save the Coastal Plain Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska and is the largest unit in the National Wildlife Refuge System. The Coastal Plain is 1.5 million acres long, and Carper compared it to Delaware’s pristine beaches. Among the 39 other Senators who signed was Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen.
