Serious Crash Involving Mail Truck In Harbeson

Delaware State Police are still investigating a serious crash in Harbeson yesterday morning involving a mail truck. 46-year-old Michael Mears, of Georgetown, was driving his van on Forest Road when he stopped at the intersection with Harbeson Road. He didn’t stayed stopped, though, and pulled into the intersection where he collided with an oncoming mail truck driven by 44-year-old Kimberly Humphrey, of Milford. The mail truck hit a stop sign before coming to a stop. Humphrey was airlifted to Christiana Medical where she is in serious condition. Mears was not injured and was cited for failing to remain stopped. Traffic was closed for two hours while the crash was investigated.
