Smyk Proposed Legislation To Toughen Contraband Felonies

Legislation was introduced in the Delaware General Assembly to widen the list of contraband items in state prisons that could result in a felony charge. House Bill 123 adds any prohibited electronic device, illegal narcotics or generic drugs, prescription medication and anything that could help a break out or riot. The bill is being sponsored by Representative Steve Smyk, who said the current law is not strong enough to keep inmates from smuggling items in.
