UPDATED: Suspect in 2 Salisbury Bank Robberies in Custody

UPDATED – 4pm – A Salisbury man has been arrested in connection with a bank robbery just after 10:30 this morning at the PNC Bank on South Salisbury Boulevard.  Police say a man identified as 38 year old Robert Hornsby handed the teller a note demanding money and indicated he was armed.  He drove off in a black Chrysler 200 which was located by Salisbury Police at Route 13 and Vine Street.  When they tried to contact him – Hornsby drove off.  The chase ended in the area of Route 50 and the bypass.  Hornsby is charged with robbery, theft, assault and resisting arrest.

\Salisbury Police were called for two bank robberies this morning.  The first was at the PNC Bank on South Salisbury Boulevard then a suspect attempted to rob the Hebron Bank on Route 50.  Police do have one suspect in custody after a chase that ended on the Salisbury bypass.  WGMD will have more information as it becomes available.
