Seaford Police Now Carry Naloxone

Last fall all the officers in the Seaford Police Department were trained in the identification of opioid overdoses and the administering of Naloxone to a victim suffering from an opioid overdose.  As December 6th, all Seaford officers are now required to carry Naloxone with them on their patrol duties.

Emergency rooms across Delaware continue to be swamped with opioid overdoses. The Center for Disease Control examined data from 45 states, concluding visits for suspected opioid overdoses increased 30% nationwide from July 2016 to September 2017.
