UPDATED: Police Arrest Long Neck Attempted Robbery Suspect in Georgia

UPDATED – 4/3/2019 at 6:55 p.m.: Delaware State Police say 37-year-old Don Zakrociemski has been apprehended for the attempted robbery that took place on February 21 near a Harris Teeter in Long Neck.

The suspect was apprehended in DeKalb County, Georgia and is awaiting extradition back to Delaware.

He has been charged with Second Degree Attempted Robbery, First Degree Reckless Endangerment, Third Degree Assault and Criminal Mischief.


ORIGINAL POST: An attempted robbery in Millsboro is under investigation by Delaware State Police.  Police are looking for the suspect, 37 year old Don Zakrociemski of Millsboro after he contacted a 34 year old victim near the Harris Teeter in Long Neck on Thursday.  The two are acquainted and Zakrociemski offered the victim a ride to the bank to cash a check, but afterwards Zakrociemski pulled into a private lane off Route 24 and demanded the victim’s money.  The two struggled and the victim ran off on foot.  Zakrociemski drove after the victim trying to hit him with the vehicle but eventually drove off.  Police ask anyone with information on Zakroceimski’s whereabouts to contact Crime Stoppers – 800-TIP-3333
