This month farmers on Delmarva will have a chance to participate in the 2017 Census of Agriculture. The survey is conducted by the US Department of Agriculture every 5 years to complete a count of all US farms, ranches, and their operators. Delaware Department for Agriculture Secretary Michael Scuse says good policies are rooted in quality data, which it why its important that area farmers take part in the census. The census can be completed online this year, to make it more convenient for producers. The deadline to submit the Census of Agriculture is in February.
