WGMD Fishing Report 10-11-18

Fishing came almost to a standstill on Thursday as weather reports promised big seas and high winds on the bay and ocean.  Conditions will only get worst on Friday and Saturday before calming down a little bit on Sunday.  Most boats will stay on their trailers or tied to the dock over the weekend.

When we spoke with Lauren at Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em she said the store will probably be closed on Friday.  No boats went out on Thursday and the weather is only going downhill over the weekend.  If for any reason you plan to visit any tackle shop on Friday or Saturday it would be a good idea to call before taking the trip.

At Old Inlet Bait and Tackle, they said a few folks stopped in for green crab and sand fleas to fish the inlet for tog, triggerfish and sheepshead.  No one came back with a good catch report.  Most of the tog have been undersized, but if the water temperature does drop after the storm perhaps larger tog will start feeding.
