WGMD Fishing Report 10-14-18

Sunday saw fishing snap back pretty well after the big blow and heavy rain.

We learned from Bill at Lewes Harbour Marina that on Saturday Bob and Dave Klinger and Chris Kerstetter ran to Site 11 and came back with 45 sea bass and two flounder.  On Sunday the Katydid had a mixed bag of 10 tog, several black drum including one big drum.  They also had sea bass, triggerfish and blues. Joe McNeal now leads the Tog Tournament with a 4.95 pounder. The Angler had a mixed bag of trout, blues, sea bass, triggerfish and a cow-nosed ray that Tom was cleaning when I called.

At the fishing pier on Cape Henlopen State Park the report was blues and short rock, but no spot or croaker on Sunday.

Clark at Old Inlet told us small blues are all over the beach and inlet.  They will hit cut mullet or small metal lures.  The night shift of jetty jockeys are still catching a few keeper rockfish on live eels.

At Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em Diana said the head boat had a good catch of sea bass plus a 3.5-pound triggerfish.
