Tuesday saw another beautiful fishing day, but not many folks were out on the water.  Once Labor Day goes by, the fishermen find other pursuits.

From Ocean City we learned that Fish Bound Charters with Captain D.J. Churchill had a boat limit of seas bass plus some dolphin and flounder on Monday.

Lewes Harbour Marina reported that Captain Cary Evans on the Grizzly hosted Brett Kline’s bachelor party on Sunday.  The guys caught several nice black drum, some blues, trout, triggers and blowfish.  The Katydid had another nice catch of sea bass and flounder on Tuesday.

Burt at Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em said a gentleman bought three flounder to the cleaning table that he had caught out of the rocks at the inlet.  A private boat went offshore and returned with dolphin and a white marlin release for Tom Healey.

Clark at Old Inlet Bait and Tackle said blues, kings and pompano were caught from the beach on bloodworms, sand fleas and cut mullet.  Small blues invaded the inlet on incoming water. A few sheepshead and triggerfish have been caught on sand fleas from the rocks.
