WGMD Fishing Report 10-20-18

bill-o

Saturday saw most boats on the trailer or tied to the dock as the wind blew pretty hard.

Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em did say the Captain Ike tried for sea bass, but seas to eight feet and building encouraged them to call it a day with only a few sea bass and blues in the box.

At Old Inlet Bait and Tackle the report was the same as it has been for over a week.  Small blues to 16 inches in the surf and Inlet.  Small tog with the rare keeper have been taken from the inlet.

Tommy at Lewes Harbour Marina said John Kellher caught a 2.15-pound white perch out of the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal on Friday.  John Hohman had a 3.3-pound citation sea bass and Andy Sheltons had another citation at 3.1pounds.  Both were caught on the Katydid Friday.

Delaware has stocked trout in White Clay Creek for the fall/winter season.  You will need a trout stamp along with your general fishing license to fish these waters until November 30.  You will not be crowded out and the fishing is pretty good.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing report
