Monday was a pretty fall day and the few boats that went fishing did well with sea bass.

Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina said Captain Keith Beebe had Gary Kimber, Mike McCann and Jeff Bostwick out to Site 11 on the Surface Tension for a good catch of sea bass, plus a false albacore and a big squid on jigs.  The Monday group on the Katydid found plenty of sea bass and some flounder over ocean structure.  Lots of folks are fishing the Outer Wall and they are catching lots of tog, but almost all of the fish are small.

The report from the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park was small blues around mixed in with small rockfish.  Fresh mullet has been the top bait for those fish.  A few triggerfish have been caught by anglers fishing the pilings with sand fleas or green crab.

At Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em, Lauren said the head boat went on a private charter and returned with 50 sea bass.

Old Inlet had the same old report.  Blues to 16 inches at the inlet and beach.
