WGMD Fishing Report 10-5-18

hannity-promo

Friday delivered as advertised with strong northeast winds, big seas, fog and drizzle.  Saturday may be fishable in the Bay, but small craft advisories are up for the ocean.  The Navy Crossing at Cape Henlopen State Park is closed due to overwash.  The DMS Surf Tournament will be impacted by the rough seas and beach closings.

Bill at Lewes Harbour Marina said no boats sailed from there on Friday, but some of the late catches on Thursday included the Katydid with two fish short of a flounder limit plus a big pile of sea bass.  Captain Carey Evans ran a half-day trip for John Still and friends returning with four, nice black drum, trout and blowfish.  Al Manning fished the Outer Wall on Thursday catching an 8.62-pound sheepshead.

Burt at Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em said the boats remained at the dock on Friday, but the offshore fleet that came in late on Thursday had good numbers of dolphin, some buoy jacks and white marlin releases.

Fishing on Saturday will be best from piers or other land-locked structure.
