The sun came out on Tuesday but that only made it easier to see the small craft advisories in the bay and ocean.
Fishing was pretty good over the weekend and we still have some of those reports to share. Dave Furio had a 7.96-pound flounder on Sunday while fishing on the Katydid. The Miss Kirstin came in with 27 tog for her party also on Sunday. Rob Malone fished the bay structure with white legger crabs to catch a 5.13-pound tog. Kyle Falgowski had a 3.35-pound sea bass on a green crab while fishing over ocean structure.
The Karen Sue out of Indian River Marina came in on Sunday with a mixed catch of sea bass and tog. Captain Nedelka will be running all winter.
Indian River Inlet saw a few more keeper tog caught on sand fleas and green crabs. The brave or foolish folks who fish the inlet after dark are catching short rockfish by the Coast Guard Station on small, white swim shads.
The water temperature has reached the upper 50s so conditions are right for the rockfish invasion.
This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing report.
