WGMD Fishing Report 11-26-18

With gale warnings up for Monday and continuing into Tuesday I don’t think anyone will be fishing the ocean or bay anytime soon.  Considering it takes a couple of tide cycles for the water to settle down, that would put the first chance of catching sea bass or tog sometime on Thursday and that’s if we get two days of good weather.  I think the last time that happened was in August.

We did get another report of big rockfish at the Rips.  Joe Walker fishing with his brother Dave connected with a 36.5-pound rock that was weighed in at Lewes Harbour Marina.  I would suspect they were trolling MOJOs or plugs.  Amanda put up a photo of Dave and Bob Klinger with a good catch of sea bass caught from the Crazy Herring at the Del-Jersey-Land Reef.

At Old Inlet Bait and Tackle the report was when the weather is fishable small rock have been caught from the inlet on bucktails or shads.  Small tog are there as well on sand fleas or green crab.  Spiny dogs and a few short rock are in the surf.
