Monday was a pretty nice day for late November and the remainder of the week is also looking pretty good.
Tommy at Lewes Harbour Marina said the Katydid had a good catch of tog over bay structure. Two other boats were still out when we called and we will have their catch on Tuesday’s report.
At Old Inlet Bait and Tackle John said folks were in and out all day buying bait, but no one had returned with stories of great catches. I am sure a few keeper tog were caught out of the inlet and some spiny dogs were taken off the beach.
Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em had one report from a boat that fished over ocean structure and come back with three tog. I suspect it was a bit bouncy in the ocean and that makes for some difficult tog fishing.
I saw one report from a head boat out of North Jersey that ended the day with a limit catch of stripers for all 80 patrons. That’s right, 160 rockfish on the day. Makes me want to cry.
This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing report.
