WGMD Fishing Report 12-14-18

Friday was not too bad weather-wise and several boats sailed for rockfish and tog.  It is becoming increasingly difficult to get reports on the day the fishing takes place because the shops tend to close before the boats return.  This is why we have reports from Thursday that we put in Friday’s report.

Speaking of same, Amanda told us the names of two citation winners from Thursday’s trip on the Katydid.  Kevin Knotts caught two citation tog, a 12.65 and a 9.21-pounder.  Brian Kuckarski had an 8.37-pound citation tog.  Charlie Ruserrio is currently leading the Lewes Harbour Marina Striper Tournament with a 13.5 pounder.

Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em told us that Captain Joe Azato on the No Limit brought in a nice catch of tog with five in the ten-pound range up to the captain’s 13.7 pounder.

Sorry to say, but it looks like the weather will be going downhill from now until next Wednesday.  I suppose you could fish Indian River Inlet and, who knows, you may get lucky and hit the migrating rockfish, or not.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD Fishing Report
