WGMD Fishing Report 12-2-18

The weather was warmer on Sunday, but to the best of my knowledge, no boats went out, or if they did, they didn’t report catching anything.

On Saturday we reported Joe Huk catching a 38-pound rockfish on a jig off of Wildwood, New Jersey.  His son Chris was also on the boat and caught a 30-inch rockfish.  That’s the way it should be, age before youth.

I don’t know where the Fish Bound out of Ocean City, Maryland is fishing, but on Friday and Saturday he caught a boat limit of tog.  On Friday, he was limited out by 9:30 AM and had released the biggest females.  Saturday, he had females to 17 pounds and a boat limit of males.  He also managed to find a 60-pound black drum on Saturday’s trip.  This is the same boat that caught the world record tog a few years ago.  I would say he has the touch.

I fished the surf at Cape Point on Saturday from the bottom of the outgoing halfway into the incoming.  Did not catch or see a fish caught.
