Sunday was another perfect fishing day and many were caught.
Julie at Lewes Harbour Marina reported on two big rockfish caught off the New Jersey Coast. Charlie Ruggiero ran up to Avalon Inlet and brought back a 46.5-pound striper caught on a MOJO. Captain Ed Sigda on the Snow Goose made the run to Hertford Inlet where Mike Sigda landed a 33.5-pound rockfish. The Katydid came in with a good catch of tog including two citations. Jackson Aeo had a 16.5 pounder and Randy Pyndall had a 12.1-pound tog. Jim Baker caught a citation-size flounder weighing 7.18 pounds also on the Katydid. The RU-FOR-REEL had 28 sea bass over ocean structure.
At Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em we heard about a good day on the Judy V. The customers caught 41 sea bass and tog. The Fish Whisperer had tog as well.
We did not hear anything from the surf or Indian River Inlet. I saw a video of an opah landed at Sunset Marina in Ocean City, but no other details were provided.
