WGMD Fishing Report 12-6-17

The wind got back up on Tuesday canceling any trips in the ocean, but we have a few reports left over from Monday.

At Lewes Harbour Marina they weighed in a 50-pound rockfish for Jimmy Young caught on a Stretch on the New Jersey side of Overfalls Shoal.  On the same trip Matthew Anagnostakos had a 35 pounder and Ben Evick had a 27-pound striper.  The total for the trip was 11 rockfish with three over 44 inches.  Jason Burris used a popper to catch a 42-pound rockfish while his friends Matt Basile had a 36 pounder and Matt Disabitino had a 36 pounder.  Some big tog were also checked in.  Dave Walker had a 10.5 pounder and Joe Pergeorelis had a tog that weighed an even ten pounds.

Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em said no one ran out of Indian River Marina on Tuesday and the way the weather looks no one will be out on Wednesday.  Right now Thursday and Friday do look fishable.

I know we all want to get out on the rockfish, but please do not take a chance when the weather is questionable.  No fish is worth dying for.
