WGMD Fishing Report 12-8-18

Saturday saw very good but cold weather and several boats tried the ocean for tog and rockfish.  Both endeavors were successful.

Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina said Damian Fuscellaro fished off the coast of New Jersey for his 30-inch rockfish caught on a MOJO.  The Katydid went tog fishing and returned with a quality catch.  There were four citation fish in the box with Mate Chris Vann landing an 11.22 pounder, Dave Vetter with a 12.37 pounder, Young W. Aeo had a 9.13 pounder and Jackson Aeo caught a 7.44-pound citation.

At Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em, Lauren told us a couple of private boats ran up to New Jersey and returned with 14 rockfish to 18 pounds.  I suspect they were trolling MOJOs or big plugs.

Clark at Old Inlet Bait and Tackle said the only fish he heard of caught from the beach were dog sharks.  While not something to be cherished, he did say there were plenty of them.
