WGMD Fishing Report 3-13-19

Tuesday had nice warm sunshine, but man when that wind hit, you tell where your skivvies stopped.

We did get one report from Monday.  Ice House Bait and Tackle said Alex and Jack fished Oyster Rocks with cut bunker and caught catfish.  Other anglers worked Pole Bridge and Petersfield Ditch with bloodworms catching white perch.  Bowers Beach also saw a few white perch, also on bloodworms.

Newton Pond near Greenwood and Tidbury Pond in Dover will be restocked with trout on Thursday, March 14th.  The crowds are usually not as large after a restocking as they are on opening day so there should be plenty of room along the shoreline over the weekend.

It looks like the summer flounder regulations will be the same in 2019 as they were in 2018.  The season will run from January 1 to December 31 with a minimum size of 16.5 inches and a four-fish bag limit.

The water temperature in the ocean and bay went up by one degree and, while that’s not much, at least it’s moving in the right direction.
