WGMD Fishing Report 3-3-18

With winds gusting to 60 knots, seas running to 12 feet and rain the weekend is pretty much a blowout.  Even freshwater anglers will be discouraged by these conditions.

There are a few fishing shows left this winter and the one I try to make every year is the Saltwater Fishing Expo in Edison, New Jersey that begins on March 16 and ends on the 18th.  The New Jersey Exposition and Convention Center at 97 Sunfield Avenue is a large venue just off of Exit 10 of the New Jersey Turnpike.  This may sound like a long trip, but if you can get a couple of your saltwater fishing friends to go along the time will fly by and I am pretty sure you will find enough bargains to make the trip worthwhile.

In addition to fishing tackle there will be boat dealers and a variety of speakers covering all aspects of saltwater fishing.  My favorite booth is the one selling pickles.  They have all sorts from mild to scorching hot and I always come home with a few pints.

This is Eric Burnley with you WGMD fishing report.
